| OVERVIEW By now most of you are aware
of the general principles and advantages of a good HID ( High Intensity
Discharge) xenon lighting system ; once you have driven with xenon
HID you will never again want to drive a car with normal "dim
dirty yellow " halogen headlamps. The main advantages with
our systems are :
- 300%-375% brighter than the average equivalent 60 watt halogen lighting (depending on which version system)
- Road Legal !!
- Draws only 35watts or 50 Watts (again depending on which system you chose) from the vehicles electrical / charging system
compared to 55 / 60 watts for halogen systems
- Simple to install , plug and play wiring harness
- Includes resistors/capacitors as required to prevent check-control or dash warning lights
- Waterproof connections for external uses
- Fully magnetically and EM shielded , thus no interference with
on board electronics etc , unlike cheaper HID systems ( which
can affect or even disable ECUs , airbag systems, wiper control
, anti lock brakes !! )
- Suitable for use on dipped AND high
beam applications, unlike any other systems on the market
- Whilst you may see some of our outer casings used on
"other" kits , rest assured the internal circuitry ,
EM shielding and electronics ( mostly of Panasonic origin ) are
of PATENTED design , and UNIQUE to these systems.

| DETAILS Our Ultravision kits are of
premium professional grade, unlike most other kits available on
the market; Ultravision kits use specially grafted plastic bulb
bases to allow exact and correct fitment of the HID capsules within
the existing halogen headlamps. Most other kits on the market use
'Heath Robinson' collars or adaptor rings in an attempt to locate
the HID tubes within the headlamp. This causes vibration, premature
wear and incorrect focal length and therefore incorrect or no beam
pattern , despite the brightness.
Our HID capsule bases are specially designed so they are precisely
matched to the industry standard specs for all Halogen lighting
systems (H7, H4, H1, HB3, H3 HB4 etc) rather than adapting the standard
D2-S and D2-R bulbs which were only ever designed for use in factory
fitted car Xenon systems ,and which would entail extensive modification
to the headlamp housing. These modifications would cause irreversible
damage to the headlamp housing (there would be no going back and
almost definitely result in a blurred / incorrect beam pattern.
Ultravision systems require none of the "beam correction"
that many other inferior kits require. All components are made in
Japan to our own highly strict specifications unlike others. Being
of such high standard, ULTRAVISION has already acquired a patent
in Europe, the United States and Japan. Don't buy a copy, it could
cost more in the long run and will be far less effective than the
genuine item.
We are also one of very few manufacturers to offer DUAL BEAM H4
fitment (i.e. Xenon lighting for both high and low beams). Most H4
HID kits only offer single beam , which are NOT ROAD LEGAL .
Our HID lighting systems are not just for cars, they are also suitable
for marine use; on buses, lorries and coaches; in industrial situations
and more. Wherever a light source is required, HID is a very cost
effective, low input energy, low maintenance, high light-output
option.
We supply kits to some racing teams , public service , police and
military customers , that's how good , robust and well magnetically
shielded they are .

KELVIN RATINGS
Dont be misled or misinformed by other HID brands' claims on Kelvin
ratings . To set the record straight on Kelvin ratings as applied
to HID :
- Kelvin is a measure of colour temperature and NOT the actual
lighting power or output
- It is generally accepted that the best Kelvin rating for optimal
human night vision is between 3800 and 5500 K
- All our 35 W HID kits run at 4100 K , and our 50W Racing kits
are available at 4000 TO 5500 K
- Anything over 5750 K and human vision and depth perception is
significantly reduced
- Anything over 6000 K and the actual lighting output/power reduces
exponentially
- Many companies claim to offer 8000- 12000 K Bulbs ...if this
were true the headlight would shine DARK BLUE TO EVEN DARKER PURPLE
!!

| |
| |
| How does it work?
When a voltage of 23,000 Volts is applied across the HID gas capsule,
it initiates an arc of ionised Xenon gas, which heats the enclosed
metallic salts to vaporisation point. Once vaporisation of the salts
has occurred, then the HID capsule produces its full light output.
|
|
It only takes around 4 seconds to initiate the ignition
process. Once this has happened and the HID capsule has
reached full intensity, the igniter automatically shuts
off.
The HID inverter then maintains the correct operating maintenance
voltage, drawing only 35 Watts of power - yet producing
3 times the light output of traditional 55 - 60 Watt
Halogen wire filament bulbs. |
|
 |
|
| This light produced is of a much shorter wavelength than the
yellow light prodced by halogen bulbs, giving a much sharper and
deeper view into the road, particularly effective in poor weather
conditions.
|
 |
The luminous intensity and colour of
the C.A.T. HID system is truly like harnessing
the brightness of the sun. You will be able to see further
and wider ahead of you and also have less eye fatigue
when driving at night. |
|
| |
The table and graph presented
here demonstrate the vast performance difference between
halogen and C.A.T. HID lighting systems.
Only the colour temperature of the halogen system is higher.
This higher temperature leads to wasted energy. With the
C.A.T. HID system, more energy is devoted to the
production of light.

This is the C.A.T. HID capsule,
which will deliver you, almost instantly, more than twice
the light of conventional Halogen headlamps.
The C.A.T. HID system uses 35 watt HID capsules,
which produce more 3 times the lighting output of ordinary
55 watt Halogen bulbs.
The C.A.T. HID headlight system is a completely
new technology in lighting that can conveniently fit right
into your existing headlight housing. |
|
| |
| The light produced by this capsule is brighter - and whiter
- than the yellowish light produced by halogen bulbs, giving
the driver a much sharper view. |
